I have been working on and off for about 3 years on Jensen Lax copies, i first tried doing some in wood, it makes nice lures but they would be far too expensive to try and sell, you would cry if you lose one.
I then tried using the hard foam that the DAM minnows are made from , it also makes a nice lure but the foam expands at a differing rate according to the ambient temperature so you end up getting lures of differing sizes ie; fat ones and thin ones depending on how warm the day is plus the foam is incredibly messy.
I have ended up using a hard plastic resin that floats, the lures are through wired with stainless steel wire fior strength and have lead ballast inside to keep the lure swimming right
There are two sizes one the original Jensen Lax size and a larger version that is 4,1/2" long they swim well i the water when tested in my local river, so i just have t try and get out in the boat and see if they work when trolled.
