Anyone else use these? I find them great for sea trout in estuaries and in the sea. I think the slim design works well and they are heavy enough to cast easily. Probably good sand eel imitations. Do they work on freshwater lochs?

A real classic. Used them for years for mackerel and picked up several sea trout at the same time. Cast like bullets. Never used them in freshwater, though....tend to switch to a Toby for that although don't know why!! I'm sure the Krill would do just as well. The Bridun Lance and the Landa Herri are very similar and also great catchers.

They work well on lochs for brownies too you just have to add a bit more action to them.Shakespere do a great krill type lure with loads of detail/eyes etc casts like a bullet with 6lb line and catches plenty trout.

I was up fishing the hill lochs behind Furness on a wild and windy day and even my mepps were being blown back in my face,so i put on a wee tiny Krill it was about 1" long it would cast like bullet and it got me a fish nearly 2lbs which is good for a hill loch.
