Do any of you use the snubber when fishing with the various dipsy's and divers.

Do you need one if you are using monofilament line? I know you need a snubber if using braid Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well I dont know if you MUSt have, but I would recomend you to use one as a shock absorber.
It will help you prevent line breakage.

I tried using mono with dipsys but it is so stretchy it makes it hard to "pop" the dipsy free to retreve it, if you use braid you just have to lean back with the rods and it releases its self.
I also once used a dipsy with braid and a 12lb leader and no snubber, a fish hit the lure, then nothing i reeled it in to find the spoon and leader gone the fish had smashed it on the take. Embarassed Embarassed
My set up now is 50lb braid with a 20lb mono leader and a snubber.
