This was the last day on the Don for salmonbut with the river being so high and unfishable. Mike and i went for pike to our local loch we had a great day and allthough nothing huge was caught we had plenty hard fighting pike in the 6to8lb range all in great condition and a good few smaller ones spinning
It just shows you dont have to catch huge fish to enjoy yourself, if you spin with lighter tackle sport can be great.
I am going to enjoy this winter with my pike and grayling fishing, for me its one door closes and an other one opens i love all kinds of fishing for me its very much a sport and not a competition . Winter fishing is brilliant you just have to prepare yourself for the weather and its a great way to pass time till the magic 15th march
