That is a magnificant fish, not only the size but just to look at. I've seen pictures of very large trout
and some do look kind of ugly and distorted..but that looks like the perfect trout, just magnified 40 times !!!

I know there are details of a 39lb Ferox caught many many years ago, but what are the chances of something
of that size swimming around a Scottish Loch ?

Thousands of dollars Ken thats why. One of the large tackle shops would pay thousands for the original imagine the customers it would draw

Killing a fish like that wont harm the fish stocks in any way, Lake Michigan is huge its probably the same size as the north sea there wil be stacks more Brown Trout that size and bigger Shocked Shocked in there and they will die of old age rather than being caught.
Also having a trophy fish on the wall is a big thing in the states there is a huge taxidermy industry and that fish will end up on the wall, and fair do's to the guy its a cracking fish.
