I was out fishing yesterday and one of the fish (Pike) we caught took a downrigger fished lure and them ran into the leadcore causing a tangle, landed the fish and had the mother of all tangles to deal with in the net, first i unhooked the pike and returned it but it managed to spike me in the finger with one of its teeth so i had the tangle to sort out , wet slimey hands and blood pissing out my finger it took me over 20 mins to untangle the mess.

I ended up with blood over the sonar, the floor of the boat, on my face and all over the rods and reels and lures i ended up taping up my finger with masking tape, i found out later that Pike have an anti-coagulant on their teeth and mouth and this combined with the blood thinning tablets i take caused the blood to keep on going.

Aye James. Nicked myself, or should I say, a Pike nicked me up at Garry a few years ago. It bled for for ages, had to cut up a towel with scissors and rap it round the cut in the end as I hed feck all else with Me to stop the bleeding.

Poor wee troots the anti-coagulant must leave them with nae chane.
