Last season when i was heading down loch awe i noticed the cabins about a mile past donalds, think its 3 or 4 cabins with a slipway. Have always looked at these cabins but the price has always put me off.Was thinking if we could get a few of us together (6,7,8 people) it makes the fishing a lot cheaper.I am sure that they do weekend breaks for the first few weeks of season. If we could get a few names together i would book it for the start of season.Stick your name down or gives a pm.we only need a couple of boats to get us all out,so it would give the guys without a boat the chance to get out.My boat will be there so just one more boat.Start of season on awe is always the best so should make the most of it.

Kev i have stayed in the cabins twice and they are great and the ramp is first class
Lewis went with me once and my mate allan the other time
I would have joined you but i have been invited to dubai fishing with my mate for sailfish and anything else we can catch he has asked me over as he has bought a new big game fishing boat . But i am sure Mike and lewis might be up for it
I will be away for the first 2 weeks of the season
If you go over to pike bay you will see the big pile of stones at the entrance i spent three days building it and near fecked up my arm. The fishing was shit at the time and i had to do something to pass the time while waiting for a bite
I lost the biggest pike i have ever hooked on the fly there Mike filmed it on his phone it was like trying to reel a seal in

I will give duncs a phone and see if he fancies it,will get dunc to chaff lewis, neilly and mike.Bet you are gutted at having to go to dubai Crying or Very sad .As for the boulders at pike bay, would it not have just been easier to read a book or something Very Happy .What are rough prices for the cabins, and how many do they sleep.

Kev i cant remember how much we payed but i do know they were very reasonable
there are different sizes of cabins the one i had slept 4 comfortably
The only reason im going to Dubai is my good mate has invited me over he lives over there now and has done really well for himself .The lucky bast-r- lives there 7 months of the year and spends the other 5 months sailing his yacht
He is just an ordinary guy from motherwell who worked hard in property development and made it big and he has never forgotten his roots or his friends

I am not sure where the laddie and I are going the first week of next season Kev.
I will certainly think about it.I will let you know.
Loch Awe has a reputation for producing big fish at the start of the season so it is very tempting.

It all depends on the dates Kev.
If its the 15th & 16th of March it would be better to book the 14th also. That way whoever is going can get out at first light as it will get busy as the day goes on.
