My friend Mike phoned Basil today and enquired about booking in to Faulty Towers
on opening day next year and launching his boat ,
He was informed that no one will now be allowed to launch there own craft
The Hydro Board told Basil this is because of the dreadfull mess left on the banks by people who have the cheek to call themself fisherman.
But Mike was told if he paid75quid he could use the hotel boat , he is not going to bother. So with Lochy being fecked by the pellet pelters and Quoich being out of bound dose this mean more boats on openind day joining a large procession of ferox hunters going up the pass on Awe on openind day. It is an example of one more venue ruined by assholes and if any one of them should read this i would just like to wish you a merry syphlis and a clappy ghonerea
scotty

i thought that anglers couldnt bank fish at the quoich so maybe its basil just saying these things two coin the money in on his boat wouldnt put it past him. tam

I have only ever seen bank anglers at the bridge.Easy parking for them, not too far to walk, and aparently a good dumping ground.Trollers are getting lumped in to the same bracket as the shore anglers and things are only going to get worse.

Shame about Quoich Sad
Any time I have launched my boat on Quoich the place has been spotless so I dont know where they are coming from scratch as for the hydro board making the rules I dont think so.
Tomdoun just trying to make extra cash.
The procession of boats down the pass at the begining of the season are looking for the big one.

It could be Basill trying it on but i dont think so . I would put money on it wont be the last venue that will be made out of bounds. There are even some pike lochs now
where they dont allow access now because of the mess.
Not everyone on this form hunt Ferox there are many who do all sorts of fishing like myself and like a bit of peace and sollitude now and then.
And like me are happy just catching fish and enjoying the sport

It wasn't Basil that kicked off, and the place was a real mess.
There was a meeting of the interested parties- to include the Hydro.
I represented the "responsible" anglers, and drafted a set of guidance notes- just common sense- Don't block access, don't leave a mess, etc. etc.
All parties agreed, so the fishing remains open if arranged via Basil.
Hydro and the estates hold Basil responsible, so if the idiots mess up again we know what will happen.
If you want to fish Quoich, send me a PM, and I'll see what I can arrange with Basil.

It's good to know it's going to be possible to launch on Quoich next season Very Happy
I think I will make it an early season venue before the bank fishers mess things up again Mad
I must thank Inchlaggan also for fighting our corner.
