| I checked the internet when i came back and did notice that the loch had runs of salmon and sea trout, but thought the salmon fishers would be fishing the shallows, not the deeps with the riggers.Might be they know more than me or might be they are just at it . kevin |

| There was a guy called Roger Howels who used to do a guiding service on Lock Eck about 15 years ago and i know he used downriggers, maybe he is doing it again. |

| Loch Arkaig - 2 boats out last weekend, 1 during the week, and 1 out today - all trolling out of season, together with a couple of bankfishers.
Just what do these people hope to achieve? Don't they realise that where a Preservation Order is in place, that they risk all their fishing gear, any boat and trailer, and their vehicle being seized? Even if they have purchased a permit, they clearly don't read the T&C on the back. It's annoying, but hey what the hell, some people just don't learn and deserve to have the book thrown at them. | IF any of the fish were out of season (which i doubt) they would have all been returned anyway. You can fish lochs like Lomond, Tay, Lubnaig etc for salmon and you will get "out of season" trout because the salmonseason starts and finishes outwith the trout season, but the fsh are put back anyway so dont see any problem in it. |

| I have caught a salmon in 50ft of water 35ft down so you do get them in deep water. If you look at the picture of the 11lb fish on page 2 you will see water still dripping from it, you will probably find the fish was kept in a tank onboard the boat and then photographed and returned. |

| Appears to be a gethering of some of the old forum members in one of the snaps with Aya Throne. I think it's safe to say they are a fairly conservation minded bunch. I'm not even sure the fish you refer to is dead. If it was caught by the owner of the page, Brian Rutland, I'm sure he has a live well. The fish looks alive to me. |

| Sorry for accusing people of killing fish if they are not. But there is not any pictures of salmon in his photobucket as brian is a well known as a ferox fisher. So I doubt if he was trolling for salmon. Again Apoligies Raul |
