I don't own a boat but want to start using this equipment next season.

Is it possible to buy one that I can attached to a hired boat by clamp or some other means?

Cheers.

LT

Yes you can get fishfinders that can be used portable. I used to have an Eagle 320 portable unit that came with a suction cup that you attached to the transom of the boat. The unit ran on batteries. I used this a lot before I got my own boat.
