One upgrade I made to my rig this summer was adding a front tow hitch to the Land Rover.
Quite a revelation!
Brilliant for manouvering and launching in tight spaces.
You can see everything laid out in front of you, instead of twisting your neck around. And it goes the right way - no more balancing act trying to keep the boat straight. Smile

Keith

Now that is a good idea. Will definately make manovering and launching a tad easier.

it could be classed as a dangerous projection by Mr.Plod so it might be wise to only bolt it on at the time of use and remove it for the journey home.

Phil,
Its removable.
Square section extension slots in underneath the front bumper and locks with pin. The ball then protrudes a fair way, so leaving room for turning and manouvering.

Yes, it would be illegal on road.
Takes 30 seconds to fit or remove.
Also means nobody can nick it.
